The Instagram Offline mode on the other hand will use some high level caching system to save your most view profiles and Explore tab, making it possible for you to navigate round the app to an extent even when you offline and as well view those saved profiles

Of course the app does require internet, but the sole objective of the new Instagram’s offline mode feature is to allow users in countries with poor internet explore the photo sharing application despite their poor network coverage

Other excepted features announced at the F8 Developer Conference includes :

  • Games and graphics that adapt to real-world settings (virtual fish can swim around your cereal bowl, for example)
  • Real-time effects can now be applied to photos or videos, changing your entire outfit, facial hair, or other accessories
  • Leave location-based virtual notes tied to a very precise location, such as notes on the refrigerator or comments left next to a restaurant menu to let friends know which items you recommend even when you’re not there

Although the offline mode is yet to be rolled out to all all Android phones and iPhones, it however has started rolling out in some countries, and of course should hit yours in no time. In other news, Facebook has also launched its beta version of its new developer tools.
