A $10k reward was given to a boy who reportedly spot a bug on Instagram
You too can make cool cash, why not start looking for bugs in any of Facebook app, who knows you too might just get your own reward of about $10,000, this sound great?? Yes I know, meanwhile A 10-year old boy has became the youngest person ever to receive a reward from Facebook after he discovered a bug on its Instagram platform. One funny thing here is, according to Instagram account policy, he isnt of age enough to register for Instagram account. Sometimes I just wonder who obeys most of this polices these days.
Facebook reward for bug reporting
Facebook (FB) gave the boy $10,000 after he told the company about a flaw that allowed him to delete other people’s comments. As reported by Finnish newspaper the boy said he could have even deleted comments from Justin Bieber. Named only as “Jani”, the boy which hails from Helsinki, Finland, said he proposes to spend his money on a bike and a soccer ball.
Facebook has however been running its “bug bounty program” since 2011, rewarded several hackers when they report tech and security problems. The program has paid out more than $4.3 million to over 800 people around the world; However the amount of the reward varies depending on the bug discovered.
