Samsung galaxy Note 7 has been in the news for quite sometimes for one issue or another, the latest which was reported that the Note 7 set up a car in fire, though the company has earlier issued a voluntary recall for the Galaxy Note 7
Well seems its not yielding much after all, the company announced it has partnered with the US Consumer Product Safety Commission to issue a recall for a million of the smartphones sold in the US.

The recall became very necessary following reports of more than a dozens of batteries on Galaxy Note 7 phones catching fire. The announcement also comes on the heels of a report suggesting that most Note 7 owners failed to adhere to the warning but continued using their devices despite widespread news reports regarding the problems and course the voluntary recall.
However,Samsung noted that the recall it issue cut across its Galaxy Note 7 device sold before September 15th, 2016. So If you are holding one of this smartphones and you’re not sure if your phone is affected or not, the best bet is for you to enter the IMEI or serial number at samsung.com/us/note7recall to find out.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, customers can contact their wireless carriers services for more details (i’e if the one you using was bought from a carrier) alternatively, you can contact Samsung at 1-844-365-6197 or visit their website.
