The world first 1 Terabit SD card finally unveiled, SanDisk 1TB SD Card has definitely taken the world by surprise, the company which remains the biggest manufacturer of Micro Storage Disk ( SD Card ) decided to double its current maximum storage capacity
Storage capacity of devices are usually doubled every two years, however In 2011, Lexar was the first to introduce the first ever 128GB SD card, the company later released the double capacity ( 256GB card ) of its previous stoarge in 2012 which also became the first of its kind.
SanDisk later took over from Lexar in late 2014 with its first ever 512GB card doubling that of Lexar’s, fast forward to 2016, 1TB SD Card is what we now have as the latest maximum storage capacity for device, however the company is yet to give any official price for it

The SanDisk 1TB SD Card is however still a prototype, but the company is very optimistic about its release, you may want to note that its 512GB SD was sold for about $800 when it was first launched, but later came down to about $280
With this, you shouldn’t expect the 1TB SD Card to go any lesser than $1,000 when it is finally made available for sale, but the price might come down as time passes
