Finally, the long awaited WhatsApp Video call feature is now making its way gradually to users apps and is set to battle the likes of Imo, Skype, Bbm as well as Google Duo and Allo, WhatsApp is no doubt one of the most popular messaging app with over 100 million monthly active users across the globe
The move by the company to introduce WhatsApp Video call to its app would come as a big blow to other messaging app already providing the Video calling features and of course the inclusion of this feature will serve as a rival to them considering the company large monthly user base
Although the new Whatsapp video calling feature is still in its beta stage it however will no doubt perform better than most of the existing video calling messaging app, trust the company to make it fun to use

How to make Whatsapp video call
We’ll be providing two different method which can be applied and of course you need not to be told that your device must support video calling before you might be able to perform this task, so you need to check if your smartphone supports it, however if your device comes with a front facing camera you need not worry that’s all you need to get started.
- Download or update your current App to the latest version or better still see below for Whatsapp version 2.16.318 beta link
- Now navigate to your contacts and select the contact you wish to do a video chat with
- Then click on the “call” button.
- It will then prompt two options (voice and video)
- Of course you need to select video call since that’s what you intend to do
- Go ahead and talk as long as like…..
Similarly you can get this done much faster by tapping the ” Calls ” tab then select “contact” so as to have your full lists contacts load up with the video button being displayed next to the voice call button. ..
All this wont be possible if the person you intend to do a video call with is not using a supported device or not on the latest WhatsApp version. that being said you may download Whatsapp version 2.16.318 beta here and don’t forget to share your experiences
