Sincerely if you ask me where the country is heading to am afraid i may not be able to respond, few days ago i was able to make purchase online with my Paypal account linked to my GTBank Naira MasterCard, but to my surprise today, i tried sending a few dollars to someone via Paypal but couldn’t which prompted me to place a call through to GTConnet help desk only to be told the new Gtbank International Spending limit on Naira MasterCard has Now been pegged to $100 per month as against $100 daily
Just like every citizen would react, i asked the lady why the sudden change of policy, even at 100$/day it was kinda annoying not alone monthly, sincerely i just cant help but to feel the pain of those individuals who may have relied solely on their Naira MasterCard for payment of International bills even if not much, Well i guess Access Bank might just be the next step for you guys, heard their limit stands at $250 daily or better still you may need to Open a domiciliary account in order to be able to transact more efficiently
Although i got a notice to this effect on Sunday to my mail but i literally ignored because it didn’t came via the normal GTBank Card Services so i thought it was one of those messages..
Gtbank International Spending limit on Naira MasterCard Now $100/month
Reasons for this however remains unknown, so if you are there and considering going for GTBank Naira Master while you intend to use for an international transaction i will advice you go for the Dollar Account instead, at least that will save you of all the stress and restrictions
Update : GTbank Increase International Spending limit to $1000, find out more
What bank are you using?? and what’s their limit on international transactions? kindly share via the comment section, who knows i just might port over to yours, though i have a dollar card but i still feel the need to have an active naira card that can at least be allowed to send minimum of 100$ daily
