One of the founding fathers of Android, Andy Rubin’s has been reported to have been working on its new company “Essential Products” that deals on hardware, software, and artificial intelligence, reports also has it the company is set to launch its first ever Android bezel-free phone
According to Bloomberg reports, it reported the Android co-founder, Andy Rubin was spotted at CES 2017 early this month, deliberating about one of the company’s major smartphone with some executives from mobile wireless carriers
Rubin assembled a team of around 40 people “filled with” former employees of Apple and Alphabet, the report alleged. while the Trademarks for Essential has already been filed with the US Patent and Trademark Office. Here’s one filed in December featuring the unannounced company’s logo.
Though details about the said smartphone remains sketchy, but the device is said to feature a large, bezel-free display and it’s expected to be on the high-end range, according to the reports, the company is believed to testing different features, including a pressure-sensitive screen, a physical design with metal sides and a ceramic back, however whether the said phone when completed would pack those features remains unknown
The phone is also likely to come with a proprietary charging connector that allow users connect third-party gadgets such as 360-degree cameras, Andy Rubin had earlier founded an incubator company Playground Global prior to his exist from Google, the startup which deals majorly on artificial intelligence, well its AI experience might play a key role in Essential’s new smartphone
