It appeared the launch of Samsung Galaxy S8 expected to be the successor of the Note 7 is fast upon us, the device will be a less fire-prone Galaxy S7, while the price is most likely to be cheaper when compared to its predecessor
Recalled how Samsung Galaxy Note 7 supposed to be a deal breaker was met with disappointment, after series of fire explosion reports which forced the OEM to not alone shut down production of the Note 7 but also recalled the units sold while some yet to be returned units were remotely disabled
If we are to go by recent leaks, the Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to come in two variants, one carrying a 5.7-Inch Super AMOLED Display while the other may likely feature a 6.2 inch screen, however both will spot the Samsung’s “Edge” style display with dual curve screen edges
According to VentureBeat’s Evan Blass, Samsung is expected to officially announce the new smartphone on March 29th, interestingly, Galaxy S8 is believed not to feature the usual physical navigation buttons, but instead an on-screen buttons will be embedded leaving a very slim bezels above and below the screen.
Furthermore the phones are expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor available only in some countries with another supported by Samsung Exynos processors for some other countries, but according to Blass we can expect some great improvement in performance over previous year’s models, including:
- 11 percent faster CPU
- 23 percent faster graphics
- 20 percent better energy efficiency
