iOS 11 has been plan to run only on devices with 64-bit processor, which means it won’t be compatible with that of the iPhone 5 or iPhone 5c that feature 32 bit processors.
However, user won’t be able to download the latest app or security upgrades to protect against hackers and vulnerabilities but the phone will still work. So if you are still using your iPhone 5, iPhone 5c or iPad 4 generation, it is high time you exchange it for a brand new iPhone 6 or 7 or give it out to your younger one. This is sad but upgrade is needed in the world of technology.
