Red Cheetah free WiFi in Lagos

There is a new offer in town, Cheetah free WiFi which is currently running in  Lagos Nigerian. Red Cheetah is a new service brought by  Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication ( SWIFT)

My first encounter with these guys was at TBS Square Lagos, where you have this BRT bordering terminal, going to Ketu, Ikrorodu and other routes. After boarding, these young guys came in and unveiled what the Red Cheetah Free wifi was about. First, SWIFT Wifi was made open to everyone, so that we could download the app inside the bus. Red Cheetah free WiFi Features

1. Available only in Lagos for now
2. Free Wifi Usage while on any BRT Bus in Lagos with the Red Cheetah WiFi
3. Users Must Downlod the Red Cheetah App
4. To enjoy the app, Video Advertisemen will Pop Up, you must allow it play for at least 30 seconds or elese your wifi will be disconnected.
5. Wifi is abolutely Free, Just download the app and Enjoy

 Availability & Accessibility

Red Cht is currently available in about 500 locations (500 buses, 50 restaurant and 2 malls). According to the company, it will be available in 10,000 locations within Lagos state.

Lagos was chosen as a branch test locations and with time it will be extended to other states.

How Do I Get Accessthe free WiFi?

Browsing can only be accessed in areas where the service are available. Then Download Red Cheetah app from Google Playstore and register.

The app is currently available for Android. Windows and iOS version of the app will be available within 3 months.

How to use the App?

1. First launch the Red Cheet Application and register just one-time registration using your full name , phone number, email address , gender and age range.

2. Enter your one-time password (OTP) sent by SMS to your registered phone

3. After that , select on the “Go” button to get access to the free broadband service whilst you enjoy periodic advertisements from different sponsors during your browsing sessions.

4. With this Red Free data Cheetah  App, you will be notified anytime you enter any area where the Free Fifi is available.
